| CALIFORNIA COLT WINS NATIONAL PINTABIAN FUTURITY IN MINNESOTA |
Shown by Sheila King A bay tobiano yearling colt from Northern California won three national championships at the Northern Minnesota Pintabian Show and Exposition, Saturday, August 18, 2007. Nor Cal Sierra SnoMan, aka “Manny”, beat all competition at the annual Pintabian Show. He received first place in the Pintabian yearling futurity, Grand Champion Pintabian Colt 2 years and under, and Grand Champion Half Arabian/Purebred Arabian 2 years and under. Pintabians are a rare breed of horse verified as being over 99% Arabian, with a tobiano coat pattern. There are only 15 true Pintabians in California. Most of the horses attending the show were from local farms in Minnesota and Alberta where the breed originated. ”This is a very exciting win for us and the Pintabians on the west coast” said owner Norman Morgan. Manny was born and raised in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of Northern California and is owned by Norman and Susan Morgan of Fiddletown, California. www.norcalpintabians.com Manny’s sire is Majestic Sunspot, a bay tobiano Pintabian, standing at King Ranch near Sly Park, CA www.kingranch.bravehost.com/ |
